The smart rental deposit cover

Coverally will provide a guarantee for the payment of recognized defects incurred during the rental period up to the amount of the security deposit.
The terms and conditions of individual rental companies might vary significantly. For yachts, the amount of the security deposit usually equals the amount of client’s liability for defects. On the contrary, when renting cars, the deposit is usually lower than the liability. Eventually, it is the client who pays for the difference between the deposit amount and the actual damage / the limit for damage compensation defined by the rental company. We hence advise to book your security deposit in the app amounted to the liability.
Therefore, read the rental terms thoroughly in advance and consider choosing those rental companies where the amount of the deposit and the damage compensation limit are identical or at least very close. The lowest rental price often means the obligation to compensate for the entire damage, e.g to pay the price of a car that is stolen from you during the rental.

This is a new service. For a service fee, we will provide you with funds that you can use to put up a security deposit for a short-term rental of a maximum 45 days. You can use Coverally to rent a boat, a car or the latest model of skis. We’ve reduced the number of necessary registrations to one, so that you can rent anything you want/need  instantly.

This operation is called preauthorization. When making a deposit, funds amounting to the deposit on the Coverally card are blocked in favor of the rental company while the rental period lasts.

Simultaneously, you can ask for deposits in the aggregate of a maximum of 3,500 euros. If you need to pay a higher deposit, contact us via chat.

At the moment, Coverally can be provided only to Slovak residents. We’re working hard to be able to help people from other countries as well.

Coverally is not an insurance. We provide a security deposit service by means of guarantee. The fundamental difference between our service and insurance is the flexibility in use, the security of your money (the card is used exclusively to make the deposit) and time saving resulting from limited red tape and universal liability conditions.

It is a fact that common damages are not included in the insurance coverage. Security deposit insurance is a relatively well-known concept for boats and other expensive items, however, it‘s rather expensive and time-consuming due to exclusive contracts between rental and insurance companies.

If you already have your Coverally card in your hands, it's enough on the very same day, even minutes before your rental starts. If you haven't ordered the card yet, expect 7 business days for delivery.

Of course, up to the maximum total deposit amount of 3,500 euros. Create a new rental in the app and you're good to go.

After completing your profile in the app, or when creating your rental, the app will automatically offer you the option to order your Coverally card.

In that case, you can also choose a virtual card in the application, which is ready in a few minutes. However, we recommend checking in advance whether your rental company accepts virtual payment cards.

We experienced that only a minority of rental companies accept virtual cards, therefore the physical card is the safer bet.
